「 SOCIETY」

Knitting & Beading & Gender-neutral

Workers—whether in construction, healthcare, agriculture, or other sectors—form the backbone of our society. Their hard work and dedication are often overlooked in the grand narratives of history and progress. "Threads of Society" aims to shift the focus back to these crucial individuals by crafting a series of knitted pieces that reflect their lives and experiences.

Each piece will use a different knitting technique or style to represent various worker roles, emphasizing the diversity and complexity of the workforce. The color palette will be drawn from the environments typically associated with labor—earthy tones, the greys of industrial settings, the blues of healthcare, and the vibrant hues seen in markets and farms.

"Threads of Society" is not just a knitting project; it's a tribute to the fundamental human elements that sustain our everyday lives. By knitting together their stories, we not only celebrate their contributions but also weave a stronger, more cohesive social fabric that honors everyone's role and resilience. This project is a step towards acknowledging that every thread counts in the vast tapestry of society.
